At Parkside Kids Clinic of League City, we believe pediatric healthcare should be personal. Our mission is to provide compassionate pediatric care, meaningful relationships, and the time families need to feel heard, supported, and confident in their child’s healthcare.
Parkside Kids Clinic was founded by two experienced Nurse Practitioners who saw a need for more accessible, personal pediatric care in our community. We moved away from the traditional high-volume model to ensure that every family receives the time, attention, and compassion they deserve.
We believe families deserve time, answers, and a provider who truly listens. Whether you are coming in for a newborn check-up or a same-day sick visit, you’ll experience a warm, stress-free environment where your concerns are heard and your child feels safe.

We provide a personal, family-first experience centered on four core principles:
Availability: We are open 7 days a week with same-day appointments, so care is available when your family needs it most.
Transparency: As a self-pay clinic, we offer clear, upfront pricing with no surprise bills or insurance hurdles.
Time: We believe families deserve time. Our unhurried appointments allow us to listen, answer questions, and focus fully on your child’s needs.
To provide compassionate, accessible pediatric care that puts families first through personalized attention, transparency, and meaningful relationships.
To create a better pediatric experience – one where families feel heard, children feel comfortable, and healthcare feels personal again.
Our clinic is proudly led by two experienced Nurse Practitioners who are passionate about caring for children and supporting families with Over 25 Years of Pediatric Experience.
Amber Brown is a pediatric nurse practitioner who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTMB School of Nursing in 2005 and a Master of Nursing in 2010.
She has over 25 years of experience working in the pediatric field. Amber was adjunct faculty and a clinical instructor for the Pediatrics and Capstone course at UTMB School of Nursing and fell in love with teaching nursing students and training up the next generation. Upon graduating with her MSN, Amber became a pediatric nurse practitioner and worked at the Brazoria County Alliance for Children, where she conducted the pediatric physical and sexual abuse exams for the county.
She then took her career to Texas Children’s Pediatrics as a pediatric nurse practitioner who started and ran the evening clinic. Amber is the founder, owner, and operator of I.V. League Tutoring, a tutoring school for nursing students that she has been running for the past 12 years.
She has been featured on the NursePreneurs podcast and is a guest podcaster on the Dr. Nurse Mama show on American Family Radio. Amber has a passion and dedication to pediatrics and loves providing family-centered care to the pediatric population of League City and the surrounding areas.
Rachel Helms is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in pediatric healthcare. She began her career as a Registered Nurse, spending 10 years caring for some of the most vulnerable pediatric patients in the NICU, primary care, and home health settings.
Building on that strong clinical foundation, she has gone on to practice as an NP for 9 years across urgent care, primary care, and emergency care. Rachel earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington.
As a mother of six, she understands firsthand the joys, challenges, and worries that come with raising children — and brings that empathy and perspective into every patient encounter. Her breadth of experience across the full spectrum of pediatric care, paired with her heart for families, makes her a knowledgeable and compassionate partner for the children and families she serves.
Choosing a pediatric clinic in League City is a big decision. We make it easy by offering a “family-like” atmosphere combined with Over 25 Years of Pediatric Experience.
